I caught some of that last night. When the Cylons send the dummy in the "raft" (a small boat mounted with what appeared like laser cannons, haha) across the river in exchange for Starbuck...priceless.
Yeah, but a 22 year old Audrey Landers wearing a skimpy tight outfit makes up for a LOT of poor effects, LOL
I liked it until that dumb kid and Boxy. I really enjoyed the remake thought it was a very well done drama.
The dumb kid was there from the beginning, representing the what we are fighting for. I can only remember couple of episodes focusing on the rag tag fugitive fleet. The reboot did seem much more real given the situation of most of humanity being dead and running with few supplies.
While unwilling to go as dark as the situation demanded given network TV of the day to come out with a second episode set in a casino and the people there acting as if they would be ignored by the Cylons committing genocide was beyond stupid.

I always for the original. I wouldn't scoop my cats' litterbox with that reboot!
I remember it. Especially near the end, when they finally "came home" to earth to find themselves in, of all places, Los Angeles.
Cruzin, yeah.. I think those Earth-bound episodes were initially packaged as Galactica 1980, then later reverted back to Battlestar Galactica.
They were actually my favorite episodes, their time on contemporary Earth was interesting to me..
