I'm surprised that I can't find a thread about this program. Anyone watching this?

All 3 seasons are now on Netflix. If you enjoy Vikings you'll love this program. It is based on Bernard Cornwell's set of novels called The Saxon Stories.

If you haven't watched it give it a go.

This thread was a few pages back:

"The Last Kingdom" Begins Saturday 10/10/15

It's obviously from a few years ago, although people recently posted about Season 3 before it started.

The Last Kingdom is awesome! I've watched the first two seasons; I will check out this new one as well. It's a very interesting and well executed series. I'm not sure why more people aren't into this series, although it clearly has enough of a following to stay on air.

Good show. I could easily binge watch it, but I don't want to. I'm rationing myself one episode per evening. I'm also doing the same for the latest season of Narcos. Another good one.

It's not as good as the books, of course, but it's enjoyable. It's lacking much of the humor the books have, and the show seems to have done away with the language barriers it briefly references in the start. Apparently everyone speaks the same language now. Still, I enjoy seeing one of my favorite books series come to life.

We binged 30 hours, 3 seasons. What the hell, nothing else to do

ABSOLUTELY loved it! Surprised that we didn't see anything about it before this week!

Excellent story line, great scenic and super battle scenes!

MrsM also loved it!

I watched the first episode. It wasn't bad, but I wasn't hooked. Does it get better?

Make it past first episode, and is a real treat. Cannot wait for season 4

Yes I really enjoyed that series. It's well worth a watch if you enjoy historical drama.

Not directly related, but some day I'd like to see a live action version of The Walking Drum by Louis L'Amour.

Sounds interesting, but there is only one book. May be good for a miniseries only.

Much better, keep watching. You won't regret it

Besides, what else is there to do?
