Has anyone seen this show on TLC ? I cannot believe mothers would dress their daughters up like grown women, force them to wear makeup, and act as if pageants is all there is to life. Especially after the Jon Bene fiasco. What is the matter with people ??

More TLC crap. I see they also found another family with 13 kids.

They've lost me as someone who will watch their channel.

Oh I imagine every family with a lot of kids is going to be trying for their own show on TLC.

One of my friend's sisters has her daughter in pageants. She gets a kick out of it, but I don't know how the little girl likes it. I don't really get the whole pageant thing. My kids were competitive ballroom dancers at a very early age, but they were actually doing something and they enjoyed it. To this day both the boys dance and one if them is a dance instructor.

My problem is how they sexualize these little girls. The dances, the flirting with the judges, the costumes, make-up,....it's all so creepy!

I saw the advertising trailers for that show and thought, yup, child molester's paradise. I hope the moms watch those kids like hawks after these shows are broadcast.

Long ago these pagents were just a little girl dresses in a nice dress and smiling at some judges. Now they get spray on tans, have fake teeth that look perfect, wear tons of make-up, need to take all kinds of lessons so they have a valid talent and can look and walk good on stage, wear false eyelashes, have hair extensions, dresses that cost thousands of dollars etc. It is nuts. These kids actually look scary to me.

You mean like Shirley Temple was when she was a child star?
