In a few years, she could start getting maternal roles.

Mayim Bialik side steps the whole issue because the role of Amy wasn't all about being the young pretty girlfriend, anyway. If she decides to continue acting, I could see her getting the sort of roles Kathy Bates matured into. She has a real air of intelligence and power about her, which would make her great playing a CEO. I could also see her becoming an interesting "bad guy."
Or just a great character actress like Margo Martindale, who is very much in demand, despite her age.

Among the cast members, she is the only actual Doctor, having a PhD in neuroscience from UCLA. Her thesis was entitled "Hypothalamic regulation in relation to maladaptive, obsessive-compulsive, affiliative and satiety behaviors in Prader–Willi syndrome."

So, she has career options, and thanks to BBT money, one option would be no career at all, just pursue whatever interests her.

There's a local t.v. billboard a few miles from where I live about reruns of the BBT on weeknights, and the photo got me thinking. It has the whole acting regulars lined up, but Kaley is front and center and seemingly bigger than the other characters. I began to think that in a sense, she was the character that held the rest of the characters together.

I'm glad it wasn't Sheldon. As fun as his character was, when he started becoming the "lead dog" they made his character too over the top. I liked him much better in the earlier years.

I love the way Young Sheldon tied into the BBT finale as well.

I was unable to see the finale until tonight. It was a nice wrap up, leaving the characters in a nice place. Yes, Sheldon’s speech was a tribute to friendship, and it parallels the actors’ own relationships as well. The show revolves around Parsons’ character, but just as there cannot be a show without him, there also cannot be a show without the other cast members. It was truly a show about relationships, and one of its strengths was how characters evolved over time.

It was nice to see Amy in pretty clothes. It was not so surprising to find out Penny was pregnant, I think.

I do disagree about the season with Priya. I did not especially like Priya, but there were some funny epis. And Leonard needed to experience that relationship as he needed to with his other, shorter, relationships. I thought Penny’s drunken night with Raj was a wakeup call for her.

I have watched probably all of the episodes—the earlier ones multiple times. They run on a local channel in three cycles. Two cycles M-F and one cycle S-Sun. I wonder how long they will remain in syndication. When I could not watch the TH prime time show, I used the on demand function of our cable provider to catch them.
