That does it. When a clumsy oaf like Bristol Palin gets more votes thanks to her nutcase mother, and Brandy goes home, this show is just too ludicrous to watch again. I haven't missed a show since this series began because I like the acrobatics the pros do, and it was always irritating when joke contestants moved forward and talented dancers went home, but I think it's time to say the morons are the majority of voters on this show, just like in the country as a whole. It's going off my series recording right now.

I really take issue with the "agenda" of the Tea Party enthusiasts and Sarah Palin supporters taking over something as "light and fun" as a chance to assert their political views. In the end, it doesn't really even help Bristol Palin because if she wins everyine will know that it wasn't because of her talent.

So essentially the TP people are doing the exact same thing that they are supposed to be fighting against (unfairness, nepotism, dishonesty and the like) The hypocrisy being displayed by the Palin loyalists is astounding.

What a disappointing result. It is a very sad day for DWTS. Brandy earned her perfect score and can say all her achievements have been her own doing and not due to her mother's political persuasion.

That's no excuse. You think mothers told their daughters about birth control in the past? Of course not. They teach it in school, for heaven's sake, and all these kids have internet access even if they're not rich. No girl growing up in modern America doesn't know about birth control, and the intelligent ones have the sense to use it if they're sexually active. I doubt she got pregnant due to one mistake.

There's absolutely no excuse for a girl to get herself pregnant while growing up in a privileged, rich household, no matter how whacked-out her mother is. This is the kind of teen role model we give tons of press coverage to? A totally irresponsible but super-privileged spoiled rich girl? No wonder the intelligence of the population continues to deteriorate!

I watched Private Chefs of Beverly HIlls because I was too afraid to watch, but at the last minute, I turned it. What a joke. Can anything be done about this, because if that isn't cheating, then I'd like to see a sane explanation for it.

Isn't that the TRUTH!!! I tried to rep you but couldn't!! LOL I think it is a shame that the Tea Partyers have to interfere with something as lighthearted as DWTS...So pathetic.... I don't know why Bristol is even on the show--she is no way shape or form a celeb. She is a cute girl but NOT celeb status. This is a travesty for DWTS--The Tea Partyers agenda is to make Stiff Bristol win the show. This is simply ludicrious!!! I commend Bristol for getting her life together after getting knocked up but she doesn't deserve to be on the show at this point.

I have absolutely nothing against Bristol. To me she's a contestant just like everyone else, but this was the flippn semi-finals. I'll grant you she has improved. I survived the whole sending Audrina home early fiasco, but this was ridiculous. I love this show and am so disappointed that this season has gone like this. And if her mother is fixing this, what does this do for Bristol as a person? What will she think of herself when all is said and done? Shame, shame on Sarah Palin if she's behind this travesty!

When I happily saw that Kyle had made it (he got all my 5 votes at ABC), I thought we were going to be Bristol-free for the final....but nooooooooooo.

The irony here is that in the Palinistas essentially manufacturing a Bristol win, everyone will know that she otherwise would NOT have won! I can't imagine that Bristol doesn't accept that she's not the best dancer...does she even think she deserves to win?? She has to know that the DWTS real fans and loyalists of many seasons will know the fix was in.

Unless....the true fix is in by ABC and they are producing the result they want. I know that's really cynical, but I would not be surprised.
Has there ever been a transparent accounting of the vote? Do we even know who does it? Who compiles the online votes, the text votes, the telephone votes (which I could not even begin to get thru on last night.) I'm thinking of an outside firm, like the geeky guys who get to stand up once a year at the Oscars, with their little attache cases holding the envelopes...though I realize there are only about 5000 voters for the Oscars.... Have the "numbers" ever been revealed?

I am sorry for Brandy and Maks as well. He does deserve to win one of these seasons...but his parting comments tonight sounded -- at least to me -- like he does not plan to be back.
