from a week in Tyler. I was pretty impressed. Stanley's BBQ was awesome. Texas has overall, the nicest and most friendly folks I've ever met.

Kids checked out the College. I'm glad we missed the rains down in Houston.

You didn't come to Tyler for the University of Texas at Tyler National Softball Tournament, did you? Opps, I reread, kids checked out the college. See any game, or did kids check out TJC?

I met someone, among many others from California and Oregon and Washington, and referred, I thought sonmeone from California to Stanley's. Small world, if that was you, lol. I was coming out of the park after the game speaking with someone, about where to eat BBQ. Later

So glad you liked Tyler! I think it is just about the best small city in Texas! And Stanley's ROCKS.

I kind of expected it to be a bit more "Country". That's probably my only small let down. I think we have more necks than ya'all do

Yep, that's another "vote" for more Southern than country, or Western?

I guess it depends on where exactly. Tyler and DFW somewhat urban. Athens definitely Country and Southern. A nice mix all around.

No, Tyler is not particularly "country." It's actually pretty sophisticated for a small city it's size.

If you want "country," check out Longview.
