My CA payment check for the period ending 7/23/11 is almost a week late. Is anyone else experiencing the same thing?

Have you reached the end of your benefit year? If so, you need to contact CA to recertify your claim.

Or, are you transitioning from state benefits to federal EUC benefits? CA usually doesn't delay the process, but they do need to do a monetary redetermination before you placing you on EUC benefits. That could be holding things up, especially if you've worked part-time.

Are you transitioning from EUC tier benefits to CA Fed-Ed benefits? That process can take a week or two and you will need to submit work searches but, again, CA usually handles this reasonably well.

Call or email CA to ask about your status. They are responsive to emails.

Are they switching you over to the debit card? That delayed things for me.

I'm in the middle of a Tier. It might be the debit card switch over. Does it take this long? I'ts almost a week later than usual.

It can take 3-4 days, and with the weekend it can sometimes be longer. I believe I had to wait about 4-5 days before I got the card in the mail, although once the card arrives and you activate it the funds are available.

Okay, I'll ask again. What tier are you in the middle of? Six weeks into Tier 2, most people reach the end of their benefit year. If that is the case, you need to contact CA about recertifying.

Absolutely correct. A routine process that (in most states) cannot be done online.

You can do that online in California, but you probably should call, assuming you can get through.

Thanks for the responses. I called EDD (and got through) and they didn't receive my claim form. Lost in the mail or at EDD.
