Whenever I have called EDD the automated message always states that you dont have to do anything to re-apply.

They will be handling it...

I'm trusting the process.

So we just wait? I was supposed to certify today and also got the re-open claim message.

Was on PEUC with a balance left over. I thought their programming would add 11 weeks to my balance, instead it's not letting me certify. heh

same here, mine ended at the end Dec. but I thought the new update would extend our benefits for 11 weeks and allow us to certify today. I also just notice my benefit year change from 03/15/2020 - 12/31/2020 to now 03/15/2020 - 04/10/2021

Hmm, my benefit year hasn't changed. It still says 4/19/2020 - On Extension.

So frustrating, but it gives me hope since my benefit year has now changed and extended another 4 months added . I'm just waiting now for the "reopen claim" option change to "certify" option.

Did anyone have a claim open before pandemic? Wondering if it's possibly talking about a previous claim I had (benefit year expired by now).

I opened my claim long after the pandemic, somewhere in July since I've never open an unemployment claim before and wasn't even sure if I could since I'm self employed but was told I could so I did.

I'm going to wait for another week to see if the "reopen claim" option changes to "certify" option. Seems like every time it updates it give us new options.
