As stated before, I am set to exhaust my Tier I benefits the last week of April. If they dont extend the Tier cut off date til May 5th, will I still be able to collect my States EB? I havent used any of those yet, and Im not sure if the cut off dates apply to only Federal Benefits or State also. I am in Indiana. Sorry if this is a stupid question, but Im starting to get really worried. I will be moving to Florida the second week of May as I have a few job opportunities, so hopefully I will not need unemployment much longer after that, but it certainly would help while waiting to find out if these opportunities are going to pan out.

The eligibility cut-off dates in the news now only apply to the EUC Tier system, other unemployment benefits initiated by the ARRA in 2009, and the COBRA premium subsidy.

EB varies from state to state -- as do the requirements for continuing to collect UI benefits when you relocate to another state. You need to contact your state UI office about the requirements for collecting EB -- and if those requirements change when you relocate to another state.

Hi everyone,

I have recently called in my last two weeks of Tier 3. I called on Monday 3-22 for week ending 3-13,3-20. As of today, calling for a balance inquiry, the system says I exhausted all of my benefits. I thought Illinois was approved for Tier 4 benefits. I know I get mail late each certification and may need to wait however the system is updated on daily. Has anyone come across this situation?

Thanks much.
