It could very easily have been nothing to do with UFOs. What our technology detects or doesn't detect would be reason enough not to release any information.

You can ALWAYS (since 9/11) say it is national security as the reason for not disclosing something, so why not just release what you have and then worry about the nat sec implications afterwards. No wonder no-one trusts all the governments now. How hard are they trying to disclose this - not very hard I guess. Look at all the ongoing secrecy around UFOs.

If you show radar images that were proven to be a shadow then you show a venerability in the system. If you show radar pictures that show no blips and there was something there; that shows a venerability. The more you tell an enemy; the more you help them develop systems that can pass through our weaknesses. That is why so many things are classified.

It isn't just government; private industry protects all of their information. Sometimes is sounds stupid because the information so old and outdated. But industry does not want to give a competing industry any upper hand. Any information could be used as a weapon against a competitor or to gain an upper hand on that competitor. That is why many of us sigh nondisclosure forms when we go to work.

Simple answer - how many politicians actually keep their campaign promises.

Being President changed his mind. There's a big difference between running for President and actually having the responsibility of being President.

Oh YEs, I agree 100%...in fact, once a person wins the election, they are given a 'briefing', these are things they were not privy to as a candidate, but now that they have won, they are now allowed to know all this stuff, Im not sure there is literally a 'secret book for presidents' (like the movie once depicted),but I would imagine they learn MANY things during this briefing that raises their eyebrows and causes their jaw to hit the floor.

Some people are just not that into UFOs/aliens/extraterrestrials, they are more concerned with earthly matters, politics, money, power, etc, so it may be interesting for them to learn all the secret Govt details about aliens, but for some, they probably dont care too much either way about it, (trump is such a person). He has said he had one brief meeting about it, but thats the extent of his interest.

He has been asked about Ufos and aliens a few times and its just not of any interest to him, its easy to tell by the way he replies. As long as they are not invading the earth or doing anything extraordinary, hes got more important things to concern himself with.

The question was not about radar detection or how we detect aircraft, it was specifically about aliens/UFOs.

Plus, even if they wanted to keep that aspect secret, it would still be possible to release Govt information that had been kept secret without giving away the details on how they detect them.

Strong rumors have it that Carter had tears in his eyes after being debriefed on national security issues. Like it rocked him to his core. As it apparently has most presidents when they go through it. Suspected reasons? They are told the origins of life on this earth. And it’s not from where we’ve been lead to believe. Among many other things.
