I didn't say total consumption of illegal drugs plummeted in NYC. I said that cocaine consumption declined in all U.S. cities and that that has played a major part in the precipitous drop in crime beginning in the mid 1990s.

Weren't you the one who said that the declining homicide rate was attributable to the legalization of abortion? And now you want to lecture someone on correlation vs causation?
