For all those who are thinking of coming here to partake of the good life ...
Written on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
(yesterday after reading all those messages and comments in the Utah part of CD !)

Welcome to Utah !
Utah must be in some time warped part of our world and/or it must be in some parallel world.
When you drive into Utah from the south, coming from Las Vegas, which is, on its own, already kind of weird, you see a sign, at the border, *Time Change - Set your clock back 39 years*

The sign also says *Life elevated* --- 2000 - 6000 feet plus on the average, >>> less oxygen !
Guess what happens when there is less oxygen ...

Next they have a bunch of people here, where most others in the world think these people have horns, have more than one wife, umpteen dozens of noisy kids, never drink Coffee or Tea or anything good tasting alcohol laced stuff, and who knows what else weird stuff.

Then they have towns here, which you either can not spell right, or can not pronounce properly !!
Circleville, Cornish, Elsinore, Escalante, Eureka, Fountain Green, Henefer, Hideout, Kanarraville, Kanosh, Lynndyl, Panguitch, Paragonah, Tropic, Virgin, Amalga, Bicknell, Duchesne, Elmo, Enterprice, Helper, Hooper, Hurricane, Koosharem, La Verkin, Loa, Ophir, Scipio, Tabiona, Tooele.
I am sure there are more, but can't think of them right now ...

Aw ... , what the heck ... !
It is Sunday, time to do nothing, but be reminded that some all powerful deity created my body,
which I really do not *believe*.
If he/she did, then probably made from parts *made in China* because it surely does not last !
My back hurts like heck, I am really tired, and now even my brain hurts !

If you take this blurb seriously, you will surely ...
Uhmmm no, I am not even going to finish this sentence.

I can't remember the last time I've been out of the Wasatch Front. Are you guys sure there is anything or anyone out past the Wasteland?

Not sure Chango ...
I actually have met people who have never been south of Payson ... ,
and I have tried umpteen times to convince my aging neighbour that
you do not need a passport to go to Las Vegas !

Let's keep this *semi dark humour* positive else Sargeant SoBelle will surely kill us !

Did anyone ever see the 90s movie The Thirteenth Floor?

The part at the end where (Spoiler) he drives out to the desert, to "somewhere he'd never go", and sees that the world ends and just becomes an unpopulated grid template, due to the entire world being a retro-period based computer simulation of his city only, and he's then forced to address the harsh reality that he's essentially an advanced NPC in a video game.

Yeah, that's what happens to the true-believer Utahans when they were to go somewhere in the world that isn't from Clinton to NSL, Sandy to Payson or North Ogden to Preston. Must avoid Salt Lake and Ogden! Those places are scurrrry!! (except the temples, those are safe)

I realize this sounds like I'm exaggerating, but that was literally my childhood... Pretty much all the way up until I spent a semester in Oregon, for a college course. Oh liberal, hippy, Ashland, you saved me from a lifetime of xenophobia.

No you do not *sound like* ... , you are !!!
But that is what this whole *poke fun thread* is about.
To make fun of the stereotypical comments always made in any forum ...

-It comes from the *daffynishun* of *human*
Human = entity that jumps to conclusion without knowing all the facts beforehand.
- It comes from *they* ...
They say this, they say that ...
Nobody ever figures out who *they* are !
But since *they* said it, it must be a fact ...
*They* are mostly the Social Media, where almost everybody else get their info from.
Again from *daffynishuns*
Social Media = A way invented to make mal-informed people stand out !

Trying to remember if I have even been to UTAH. I guess not as my memory is just about as blank as the Salt Lake Desert.
