I have been contacted by a recruiter to come work for this facility. I did do a search and only came up with people that were going there and no posts of how things are once you are there.
How is it working at the plant?
Opinions on the area and actual cost of living/housing there versus what some of these internet sites say?
What were the relocation issues if any and how did the plant handle your concerns?
The area on the net looks really beautiful. I am coming from South GA, land of flying teeth, mosquitoes and humidity. The average 3/2 home here is around $200000. Property taxes here are 40% of assessed x the mileage rate. GA taxes my income and my full military retirement. We also pay vehicle advalorem taxes every year. There is no vehicle smog or state inspection.
We are looking for 4 seasons and a mountain view.
