Tried these recently. Never liked sharp tomatoes,
they are very good, also considered "gourmet tomatoes"

Kumato - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Anyone have any other gourmet fruits or vegetables they use for salads? They also had Dragonfruit, which is 10.00 for a piece. It looks interesting, but no idea what to do with it.

This is called Romanescu, it has alot of anti-oxidants and is a mix of broccoli and cauliflower.
Not sure how to prepare it though.

I know, bizarre. But maybe it tastes good.

This one is from New Zealand, horned melon.

Its supposed to be refresing, like lemon and cucumber.

The dragonfruit tastes like kiwi, and has alot of antioxidants also.

I used to like "Bizarre foods" ( Travel channel) where he tries "durian" and all these odd types of fruit (not insects though, ugh). Must be nice to travel world-wide and try these things.

Now that one looks good. In a melony cucumberish type of way. And it doesn't look as though it would hurt.

Is it savory or sweet? What it it eaten with?
