Blasphemy but I can eat them everyday. Morning Star or Boca are the best so far. I love the Black bean and pizza ones from Morning Star. Throw a bit of bbq sauce with raw spinach, vegan mayo, onions and pickles on thin round buns.
Anyone have a great recipe to make from scratch and grill? I'd like to make some for friends and family to try.
PS, I tried some veggie hot dogs and I nearly barfed but my dogs tore them up. Anyone know a good brand of these?
I tried Gimme Lean sausage that is in a tube. And when it's either raw or cooked it's mushy much like canned dog food. It was gross and made my spaghetti gross. Most fake hamburger meat is like this unfortunately though that I've had. But the patties are much better though. But I've learned how to make an omelet and man I can't get enough of them. I throw pretty much any kind of veggie in it with a tablespoon of syrup.
If it wasn't for Morning Star it would be a very bleak outcome.

I don't think I would say they are better than hamburgers or turkey burgers, but they are interesting and good soemtimes. I am not a vegetarian as most know, but we do like to go meat free once or twice a week..Well once more likely than twice. We have eaten Morning Star veggie burgers for years. As for the hot dogs, I can't imagine veggie dogs.....

Try a double double with a blackbean veggie on top of a hamburger. Good stuff.
I made a crockpot lentil stew- lentils, onions, carrots, tomatoes, garlic- that we served over black rice for a couple of nights.
Today I threw the left-over lentil stew & black rice together, added wheat germ & whole wheat flour until it made a stiff mix. Formed them into patties & fried them crisp in olive oil. Delicious homemade lentil burgers on whole grain buns for lunch!
