I have AT&T cell phones so I don't need a land line. Any other suggestions will be appreciated and we are looking forward to moving to Ventura Co.

Personally, I think they charge too high a price for endless channels of ****e, duplicate channels and channels that I should have the option to NOT have, like Spanish, Indian, Armenian and Korean broadcasts, endless shopping networks and brainless "reality" shows like "I'm a drug addict, now watch me dance around the pool and party in the sun!" I do not like paying for channels that I would never, EVER have an interest in watching.

A better method would be to allow customers to customize their packages according to what they would watch, which in turn would determine the total cost. Having only 10 channels could cost as low as $10 a month, etc...
That about covers it for me. LOL

Here in Oxnard we have both Verizon FIOS and Time Warner. I have Time warner for TV, Phone, and internet. I agree with Cyanna on their service. I liked the idea that we would have a couple hundred channels. When we got it I found out that we have the same channels repeating themselves. When I asked about that I was told that the first set are for basic service, the second set is digital, and the third set is HD. I bet out of all of us, myself, my wife and our 6 kids we only watch 25 channels combined on a regular basis. The rest are a waste. I even have the Spanish tier because we are bilingual. My wife watches channels that are in Spanish that are not part of the package and I prefer to watch the English version of the channels that are in the package.

You can get any of the 3 services from both providors. They have packages for any configuration. Call and let them know what you want.

Thanks but I checked with Verizon and FIOS and it is not available at my address in Port Hueneme which is too bad. Time Warner doesn't show any packages for just TV and internet but I will give them a call.

I think I am also going to give AT&T a call about Uverse but I don't think their internet speeds are as good as Cable or FIOS. I may just have to stay with cable in-spite of my dislike of them.
