Yep. (vt lingo) I was.. Been up since '96. I get it... The only thing I don't "get" is adding an "R" to words that don't have them. (ie; gararge etc????)
Was at a happy hour and finally pointed it out...,"Hey, do you say vaginar?????

They didn't "get" the fact that the "r" is added to so many words.

And YES they DO say vaginar! Sorry, it's just a peeve of mine, but I also detest the word ya'll! Slap me if I say it!

LOL! I've heard that, too. The first time I heard "aurnt," as in, "My Aurnt Mary is my mom's older sister," I had no idea what it meant. Now I know.

LOL! I pronounce garage as "gararge". I don't know why. Always have and probably always will!

Is "jeezum crow" a VT saying or general New England?
My mother grew up in VT so I got "jeezum crow" from her.

My 6th grade teacher in Miami, FL used to say "jeezum crow." I have no idea where she was from, but I'll bet it wasn't Miami! That was the last time I heard anyone say it until I moved to Vermont in '97. I don't believe I heard it in SW NH, where I lived '88 - '96.

"Jeezum crow"? I don't think I've ever heard that phrase. What does it mean?

Yupper! I used Jeezum Crow growing up in Concord, NH. Thought I brought it with me to VT, but I guess there was no need. I always considered it as a G-rated version of Jesus Christ.

Yupper (with the accent on the 2nd syllable) is a term I picked up here and use it only in the humorous sense.
