Can somebody with experience from Sharon elementary school and Sharon academy tell me how they think the schools are, how their kids like it etc..And, also what is the application process? How is living in Sharon for a family, activities for kids (except for the winter sports)..What is daily life like in Sharon? We have been to VT acouple of times and like it a lot. We are Swedes so you can figure the climate fits us!! We are thinking about moving to VT maybe 2 years from now - getting awfully tired of NJ. Friends have already moved up here (to northwestern part of VT) and another family is set on moving up next year.. So, please if somebody could enlighten me on the Sharon area, schools, housing etc I would appreciate it!
Thanks.

Stratford is cheaper than Norwich and has school choice. Past Thetford into West Fairlee and Vershire the prices drop quite a bit the commute isn't bad the public schools not so good. There are private school options.

As far as part-time work I have a friend who lives up in Bradford who works part-time for King Arthur in Norwich and loves it.

Anyone who wants to live cheaper needs to stay out of this area. If you like to drive or are willing to commute a bit you can get a lot more for your money. The Lebanon/Hanover/Wilder/Norwich area is much more expensive then if you go south a bit on 91.

We rent now (down the road from Norwich) because my husband and I do not want to drive miles especially in bad weather.

However, our options for housing are limited.
