What are you into? Lot's of outdoor stuff (hike bike kayak), antiques, crafts, farm food. All the mountains have summer festivals at one time or another.

Jamaica State Park is just up the road, and it's got Hamilton Falls-- a nice walk, and an alluring but very scary swimming hole.

Stratton Mountain resort is not part of Vermont. Please leave the giant corporate holding behind and explore the real Vermont. It starts 4 mile down the hill at the junction of rt 30.

Are you looking to ditch the kids? Stratton may be just right. Otherwise, there are endless things to do in all directions.

Have kids signed up for a one day camp at Stratton, then we plan on exploring the surrounding area. Thanks!
