I was pulled over on I-295 for going 87/70 my reasoning was simply because there was a truck carrying boats next to me and I wanted to pass it because I didn't feel safe. I don't remember what exit I took to get on 295 but when I entered I saw the cop on the side of the road and braked my car to go down to 65 mph. I passed the cop car going 65 but he still pulled me over and I explained why I was speeding. He came over and asked if this was my first ticket I told him no I have two he then later came over and said and I quote. " I saw your record and you need to change. Look at your friends (because we were coming back from myrtle beach) and look at them real good do you want to be the person to have to go to their parents and inform them that you killed them because of your driving? Think about that " I don't know about you guys but I feel like the last thing he said to me was unnecessary. I'm sorry but he doesn't know my reasoning or situations from those two other tickets so in my mind I feel like he can't assume that I'm a speed demon.

Is there anyone who can tell me if they got their tickets reduced or thrown out for some type of technicality. Or if they got a lawyer who is the best in Hopewell to take on this case. I can't afford to lose my license due to fact that I have summer classes and have to drive down to Radford for school.
