I have 6 children, 20 months to 16 years 3 elem school one middle and one high and one preschool... need good schools with plenty of football and lacrosse options. I would like a SD with a comm pool ... am I asking for too much? hee hee

I'm not sure if you'd be better off in the Roanoke area, but I do know there is mountains and beaches ( http://www.franklincountyva.org/parks/sml_park.htm (broken link) ) just south of Roanoke in Franklin County Football and Lacrosse are pretty important sports in this area also.

Do you have career requirements? What is an "SD"?

Richmond is an hour and a half from the mountains, and VA beach... it has great schools, and a lot of job oportunities. I'd recommend the West End of richmond.

I hear that VCU has a great nursing program. And the area around the Swift Creek Reseviour in Chesterfield County seems nice...

I actually live in Ladysmith (North of Richmond), which you can find my rambling posts about this community all over this forum.
