I drove by there today and it looks like they have construction vehicles there already.

I noticed that as well. My guess is that they received their permit earlier than expected and decided to capitalize on the extra week. Whatever the case I am glad that it has begun.

What are the odds that home prices in ft Washington improve? Foreclosure need to go down first.

They already have. The largest year-over-year price increase was PG last month. Mainly because PG has dropped so low, any improvement will seem huge.

Prince George's County housing market recovering

Quote:
Prince George's County, one of the hardest hit local areas during the housing market slowdown, still has the lowest sales prices, but the median sales price in October was up 20 percent from a year ago to $180,000.

Fort Washington will probably be one of the first places in south county to improve anyway because people really love the waterfront property which is a great value for this region and it is still right there by National Harbor.

Not that you can actually get to much of the waterfront sine the million dollar homes block the view.

National Harbor is located on 495,295,95, not far from DC and Alexandria City. River view is just the second reason.

By the way, I cannot see any place to start Oxon Hill Road construction. Can you show me which location on google map?

I tried to map it but couldn't. If you are familiar with the part of Oxon Hill Road in front of NH, the plot is across from the NH and OH Manor and across from the Office building next to the Kiss and Ride. Tanger will sit on about 41 acres and they are clearing trees (at a rapid pace) right now so it will look like a construction site by xmas. I passed by there yesterday barring no issues should be opened by this time next year.

I saw an article this morning that stated that the official groundbreaking will be on Thursday the 29th. That's why they told me that they will begin construction on that date since it is the official ceremony. Based off of the rate that they have been clearing trees, they may have a flat plot by Thursday morning lol.

Yes I agree. I figured that date was a ceremonial one. It's good that they are getting started already though because the sooner it gets done the better.
