ALL investments go up and down. Housing has been one of the BEST for years.

IMO, it will again.

House price have started going up in my area.

Some area have buyers "bidding" on homes and the seller is getting MORE then what their asking price is.

We can agree to disagree. Everyone interprets data differently, but please if you quote me, accurately quote so it can be read in context: "Buying a home for the sake of buying a home is no longer a smart investment decision." That was the point i made in the previous post that i reference in your quote.

In my opinion, the best investments are in areas that are distressed but have potential (hence the reference to DC's gentrification).
