We are moving from Park Slope, Brooklyn (after living in NY or Brooklyn for the past 18 yrs) with our 2 yr old son and are considering Bethesda, Potomac, Rockville, Kensington, and Silver Spring.
Our current neighborhood is a fairly diverse community that is very family friendly. We walk everywhere and enjoy living close to Prospect Park. I realize this will be a totally new experience, but if any NY transplants have any insight to the pros and cons we would appreciate it. Also - we are looking to buy something between 500 - 600K.

Our current neighborhood is a fairly diverse community that is very family friendly. We walk everywhere and enjoy living close to Prospect Park. I realize this will be a totally new experience, but if any NY transplants have any insight to the pros and cons we would appreciate it. Also - we are looking to buy something between 500 - 600K.
