That caught my attention as well. It's impossible to pass judgment based on the little information provided in the article, but it's typically not a good thing for an officer to discharge his/her weapon when a suspect is running *away* from the officer.

These problems are never going to go away until the degenerate subcultures and negligent homes which produce them are gone. Take from that what you will, but that's my perspective.

Well I don't know how old most of you are on here but when I was in school, there was way more violence than now. A ton of crews have been wiped off the map completely since the 1990's with complete demolition of many neighborhoods. Kids aren't killing like they used too which is great. Sursum Cordas "Da border" and Barry Farm's are about to come down just to name a few. Many of the same residents don't return to the new neighborhoods once built 3-5 years after.

Many people move to Maryland because of this displacement and just end up staying. The black people moving back into the city are white collar educated black people just like young white people are moving into the city. DC is going to continue to change and the economics of it will not stop. The city will be completely built out over the next 30-40 years with no room left to build. It happened in Manhattan and it will happen in DC. The build out will spread clear into PG county eventually which will really be good for Maryland from an economical stand point. It's happening in most major cities.
