We currently live in northern VA and I received a job offer outside of Albany. Both locations have good school options...but besides from that what else should I consider in terms of raising our family? Is one location preferred? My child is 1 year old now and we will be moving upstate when he turns 3. I can't decide on staying vs leaving.

The schools are way too pressure-filled here in DMV, which doesn't make them good in my opinion. Leave. Quickly.

DC area, for sure. If you want to enrich your child’s upbringing with a dynamic, multi-cultural environment then the DC metro area kicks the crap out of upstate NY
