Any body have any suggestions I would be real glad to listen to your advice about how I go about this. I do have cousins in d.c and they are still looking for a person in washington, d.c not in the metro area either.
Can you stay with your relatives in the area while you look for a place? Craigslist is great; unfortunately I 90% of the apartments/shares I found on there were dumps. One landlord actually enclosed a back porch and tried to rent it as a bedroom!
Your best bet is to actually look for a place in person.
