Covered bridges are nice fall drive (But maybe too late after rain).

Can fetch some Steelhead Rootbeer from the brewery in Eugene. (We bring it home by the case)
Kids will love it (RB Floats). Supposedly Bulldog is same recipe (Vanilla) available at some WorldMart

High grey sky’s this morning.
No wind and it’s 40f.

I can’t figure out is how to get rainfall numbers.
I look at Apple weather and it doesn’t show it.
I googled Sequim rainfall and it comes up as trace when I know it rained a good portion of yesterday.
These reports would be more informative with rainfall numbers.
This could even help define micro climate areas.

Go to Weather Underground and find the station nearest you, they're mapped and I like the layout of their info. The ten day forecasts I've been posting come from there.

Here's a list near Port Angeles, you can set one of these as your home station. https://www.wunderground.com/calenda...t-angeles/KCLM

Thank you for that weather site Diana.
I appreciate that and bookmarked it.

It says I will receive this amount of rain.
today .14
tonight .23
Tomorrow .13

Seems light but seems about right.
That’s why I was kinda scratching my head at the “largest storm in NW history”.
Seems like just another rainy weekend.

In a past life many moons ago (military) I had to write weather report strips for aviation purposes.
Watch me mess this reading up and totally get my butt handed to me .

We're getting more rain in NW Washington than that. The Skagit River crested this morning but major flood stage is likely ahead. It was dumping rain but there's a lull between storms now.

You may be in the rain shadow for this one, up on the Peninsula.

We'll be getting, according to the forecast....

Today .84
Tomorrow 1.51
Monday .73 - Plus some wind with it on Monday.

We used to be a Weather Underground station til our machine died.... hope to get it going again soon.

Change since this morning… You can see a small reflection of water between the trees down below which means our little creek is now flooding. Haven't been down there today to check it out fully. The actual creek bed is about 50 yards beyond that. With all the rain expected in the next couple days, I would expect the flood area to grow! It's of no consequence to us or most along Scatter Creek, it's just interesting. It has a pretty predictable flood plain and this is pretty normal for winter here.

Watch tonight when the second atmospheric river arrives... the temps are expected to go UP 10 degrees overnight tonight, from around 48 (here) right now, to 60 degrees by morning.
