Can anyone suggest any good "extended stay" hotels in the Tacoma area? I looked on a few review sites and people complain about stupid stuff like not having a coffee machine in their room.. so it is hard to take any of those seriously.

I can't review any Tacoma hotels, but how about tripadvisor? I always check their site when I want reviews about restaurants and hotels.

Crossland Economy Studios
I have stayed at Crossland Economy Studios on 84th and Hosmer. It is right off I-5. It is an extended stay hotel. There is also one in Puyallup. I have stayed at the one in Tacoma only once in June 2009. However, I am traveling to Tacoma in August and will be staying there again. The room was very clean, although small. The staff was friendly and quick. If you are in a room on the west side (towards the Hosmer Street), as I was, then there is a bit of noise from traffic on the street and I-5. I was able to sleep and deal with it in my room though.
