Up here we're just getting to 20C now, for the fourth consecutive day. I have to remind myself it's not July (18C is our average high then!!). Full report coming later.

It's a beautiful sunny morning, with a high of 40F in forecast. Of course, the rest of the long-term forecast includes snow; but, today is going to be a lovely spring day.

22.5C at 6.45pm after a high of 26.5, which even if no other site in the country had beaten it would still have been a national date record for 23rd April. Nationally we've just had the hottest April day since 1949 in terms of absolute max, and apparently the highest daily mean temperature in April since 1775 This is probably the last day of abnormally high temperatures, but it will stay warm for the time of year.

By the looks/sounds of it there's a lot of thunderstorm activity over the city centre right now but no rain here as yet, despite it threatening so for a fair few hours now.
