Argh, if only I could have moved during this winter. Oh well, I hope next winter's snowfall amounts are decent.

Good to hear Detroit had a "classic" winter. It was a great one here in Northern New Jersey with nearly continuous snowcover since Christmas.

So what happened to Winter? Where I live in the midwest, it's been mild for the past 2-3 weeks now. All season long, I've only had a total of 21" of snow - below average for me - while everyone around me got nailed with blockbuster snow storms. Now that it's gotten mild, we've been getting nailed by a lot of rain which, if it were snow, would easily add up to 20"+ snowfalls. I'm a snow lover, so this Winter has been a major disappointment for me.

I had a feeling I would have to resurrect this thread.

Very exciting day of weather. Heavy rain and wind all day with flood watches and warnings in effect. Now a Winter Weather Advisory tonight. Possibility of an inch of snow and a glaze of ice. Hopefully it'll materialize.

You're happy about a glaze of ice?? Do you own a car body repair shop?

Some of the higher elevations and shaded areas have some swaths of it, but most of it is gone. Less than an inch.

Yes, a tenth of an inch (if we even get it) won't be the end of the world and it'll all be gone tomorrow.

I am tired of sub-zero temperatures by now (well, I always am not long after going through winter, but my patience just gets tried the more I wait)! Just going outside to shop for groceries in -6C (21F) with wind chill still annoys.

Luckily, next week's highs are all at or above freezing.

Still, I wish it would hurry up a little faster and be/feel like spring 2011 and not winter 2010-2011 here .

Would nice to see some actual green here too in the scenery!

Winter fatigue seems to be setting in for most people lol.

I'm ready for some slightly milder (40s), rainier, and cloudier weather but would like to see a few more snow events before the season comes to a close. Unlikely, but stranger things have happend. Heck, there's been major snowstorms in April.
