Uh Cambian, the "easier to read" model for next weekend only shows high 80s from Philly on north, that's more or less "normal"; all those 100s are from Baltimore-DC on south.
NWS website if you look at the "3 day history" of the station, can see that most are now below their highs for the day. Newark still the warmest locally (though Atlantic City the "winner" for the Northeast) but not as big a spread. Highs for day so far:
Central Park - 100 (ties daily record set in 1955)
JFK Airport - 100 (ties daily record set in 1972)
LaGuardia - 98 (but this is current temp so could still be higher....daily record is 100 in 1955)
Newark - 102 (breaks daily record of 100 in 1955)
Atlantic City - 105 (breaks daily record of 101 in 1991, also ties yesterday for 2nd warmest day ever)
Philly - 100 (breaks daily record of 99 in 1991, current temp, could go higher)
Baltimore - 99 (current temp, could go higher, daily record is 102 in 1991)
DC area - Reagan Airport 101 (ties daily record set in 1991), Dulles 98 (daily record 99 in 1991)
Interestingly, not nearly as warm once you get north of NY City. Bridgeport, CT only currently at 89 and is daily high so far. Hartford, CT at 94 and current high as well. Providence, RI only at 86 and high for day so far and Boston at 91 and current high for day so far.

I didnt say Maine. lol
Models are split right now.. 2 having another heat wave..2 just normal temps and limiting the heat south of Philly.
here's SPC's thinking... Looks like upper 90s all the way to Jersey
Forecast temperatures for Philadelphia and DC on Friday are in the upper 90s, which if verifies, combined with the humidity, would result in the heat index possibly going higher then 100 degrees.

While that's still significant, the question is what happens north of there. NWS seems to be hedging and going back and forth from mid-upper 80s vs. something close to what Philly and DC is expecting (i.e. mid 90s with humidity).
By the way, attached is complete info on NYC tri-state area weather records tied or broken during the heat wave:
