Overall, the average was bang on seasonal more or less with slightly less precipitation than average for the month of June.

Total Sunshine for June: 153.5 hours (5.1 hours per day)

Temperature and sunshine both a little above average. Rainfall a little below average.

Not too bad for the 1st month of winter.

Invercargill recorded just 53.8 hours of sun making this the fourth lowest June total on record (started in 1932) and equal lowest since 1964. Average 73.6 hours.

More realistic than many of its alleged recorded values in the last 15-20 years.
