A month of two halves. The first half of the month captured nearly two-thirds of the sunshine (123 hours), had a mean maximum of 26.1C and total rainfall of 36mm.

The second half saw a very gloomy spell from the 21st-25th when just 45 minutes of sun was recorded. Rainfall increased and temperatures dropped. In the second half, the mean maximum was just 24.3C (normal for November) and rainfall totalled 112mm.

Overall, a cloudy, warm and wet month.

Hampstead, north London (unofficial):

Mean temperature: 10.4C (+2.7C)
Mean maximum: 12.8C (+2.7C)
Mean minimum: 7.6C (+2.6C)
Absolute high: 17.4C
Absolute low: 0.4C
Rainfall: 25.5mm (-60%) on 11 days
Sunshine: 58 hours (-26%)

Cloudy, very dry and mild, often very mild. We had a fair few decent fogs around the 20th-23rd but no winter weather to speak of. Some of the roadside trees even still have some green leaves on them. With a lack of the typical wind and rain I associate with November this month is unremarkable except for the consistent very mild temperatures only 0.2C off the local record for the month. Unless it rains a lot these next four months water shortages might be a factor in summer 2012.

Nice, France :

Highest high : 20.8°C on 13th
Average high : 18.3°C (+2.0°C)
Lowest high : 16.5°C on 27th

Highest low : 15.3°C on 4th
Average low : 11.1°C (+2.3°C)
Lowest low : 7.3°C on 16th and 18th

Rainfall : 162.9mm
Sunshine : 174 hours (+34h)

The month started with a sunny and warm day, reaching 20°C, followed by 8 very cloudy and mild days with some occasional heavy rain, notably 90mm on the 5th. During this week sunshine hours averaged less than 1 hour a day.

Starting from the 10th until the end of the month, very sunny and conditions prevailed with most days recording more than 6 hours of sun, and frequent cloudless days recording 9 hours of sun

The highest temperature in the month, 20.8°C and the lowest, 7.3°C, both occurred during that type of dry sunny days.

Overall a very mild and pleasant month especially given Nice's latitude.

November isn't that cold, the average low is 0,2°C (32,3°F), the average high 5,0°C (41,0°F).

"Normal" November weather usually means dreary, cloudy weather with frequent fog, mixed with an occasional Atlantic windstorm, a cold outbreak from the east, or a few days of bright sunny weather with temperatures between 15 and 20°C
Edinburgh gets on average about 40% more sun hours than Kraków in November, although, due to it's location a full 6 degrees further north, there is 20 hours less daylight in Edinburgh compared to Kraków.

Motueka 41.4"S 8M ASL

Average max 18.9C(-0.9C) 66F (-2F)
Average min 7.5C(-0.7C) 46F (-1.8F)

Rainfall 95 mm (-15mm) 3.8 Inches (-0.6 inches)
Sunshine 253 hours (+28 hours)

A colder, drier, sunnier month. I would have thought it was a warmer month without looking at the figures- it goes to show how little perception counts for regarding temperatures.
