How did you fare this month.

Well, here it was one of the CRAPPIEST Novembers I can remember. It seemed that there was nothing but CLOUD AND COLD, punctuated by only 2 periods of warm days (themselves cloudy aswell), with both periods lasting only 2-3 days. Naturally, the cold and cloud persisted for weeks between the bouts of warm. I am absolutely fed with this pathetic crap.

We went the entire month without needing to shovel the driveway, woo-hoo!
One day we had about 1" of snow, but it melted off the driveway by noon.
So far, I have not had to shovel the driveway since early March 2008.

Average to slightly below average temps,
average to slightly above average sunlight,
average to slightly below average precipitation.

*All in all, this November wasn't too bad.

The forecast so far suggest that this tripe will continue well into December
November in the southern hemisphere is like May in the northern hemisphere.
Considering that, you've had a fantastic November compared to a Toronto May.

If it was May in Toronto you would probably see:

Days above 30C: 0
Days above 25C: 5
Days above 20C: 13
Days below 20C: 15
Days below 15C: 5

Nights above 20C: 0
Nights above 15C: 4
Nights above 10C: 12
Nights below 10C: 15
Nights below 5 C: 8

*Your last post confuses me a little,
December and July aren't significantly warmer than November normally?
In Toronto, summers are normally 6-9 C warmer than May on average;
nearly night-and-day difference.

Do you normally get one kind of weather pattern all summer?

What I meant is that the crap weather is continuing well into December. Infact, no heat is expected to occur until AFTER Christmas And all the buffoons on the Aus weather forums are HAPPY about it!!!! Maybe they should all move to Scotland if they enjoy cold and cloud so much in summer

Basically, the typical weather pattern here in summer is like this:

2-3 days of heat, 4-5 days of crap, 2-3 days of heat. Repeat.

January is about 4ºC warmer than November.

How about Tasmania, or the South Island NZ?
Or are they much nicer than the UK too?

That sounds better than here.
I do not know what you call "heat,"
but what I call "heat" is as rare here as snow in Kentucky

Our typical summer patterns for temps would be like this:

warmish for 3-5 days,
warm for 3-5 days,
back to warmish for 2-4 days,
coolish to distinclty cool for 1-3 days,
back to warmish for 3-8 days,
warm for 3-5 days,
back to warmish for 2-4 days,
warm for 1 day,
very warm for 1-3 days,
moderately hot for 1-3 days,
back to very warm for 4-8 days,
warm for 3-5 days

Repeat.

*SAB, How does my description of a Toronto summer sound?

Default What I would like to see in summer:

Very warm for 2-5 days (83-87 F or 28-31 C)
Moderately hot for 5-10 days (88-94 F or 31-34 C)
High heat for 1-3 days (95-104 F or 35-39 C)
Back to moderately hot for 5-8 days
A nice "cool spell"; back to "very warm" for 3-5 days

Repeat.

Basically, an ideal summer that isn't very hot for me
would still go 15-25 days straight with highs between 85-94 F; (30-34 C)
it'd be the dominant weather pattern occuring at least 80% of all summer days.
