Which climate of these two small oceanic islands at 43 degrees latitude would you choose? I'd choose Maatsuyker for much warmer winters.

This is a tricky one, but I think I will go with Sable Island, for the warmer summer and more seasonal variation. Both climates are horrible though and they each get an F rating from me.

Both are terrible, but I'll go with Maatsukyer Island. Much warmer winters, and actually gets some warmth, there are a good handfull of days over 25C every summer, and atleast 1-2 days over 30C with periods above 20C during nighttime hours, infact it had a 23.5C overnight low in February this year, not to mention a record high 34.7C vs 29.6C at Sable Island.

Current temp at Maatsukyer, 11:30pm April 14 .... 16C /61F.

Wouldn't live in either of these, but the one in Tasmania would get my vote.

Sable Island, no contest. Gets way more snow (Maatsukyer may see a dusting every now and then).

Maatsukyer Island only averages 0.6 days over 30 C a year and the decile 9 temp in Feb is 23 C: Climate statistics for Australian locations

Still better than Sable Island though.

Well yeah but what I'm saying is that it is more prone to heat than Sable Island.

True, however Sable Island has warmer average summer temperatures.
Not just "record" temperatures, once or twice a year, LOL.
One day temperature of 30c and low of 23c is a good thing?
Not for me, LOL.

Sable Island all the way

Maatsuyker Island

In general, I will always pick the one that is more temperate.
