Wow, very impressive and certainly "payback" time .

Everytime I go to stuff.co.nz I notice a sunny weather icon....

9.3 hours of sun today takes our final total to an above average 83.9 hours, but only just.

Sadly I don't have the exact stats, but this winter has been one of the cloudiest in 50 years. From December to mid-February some 41 hours. The last two weeks has been a lot sunnier, but as the average for February is 75 hours, it's not sufficient to even get close to an average winter, but might still not be cloudy enough to make it to the top 3.

I don't exactly know how this complete lack of sunshine has affected my mood, as I haven't really thought about it, but I've been tired a lot. Sports activities, alcohol and vitamin supplements seems to be good medicine combating winter depression.

Nothing but sunshine here this summer. Has to be one of the sunniest summers I can remember.

December ..... 278.0 hours / 9.0 per day
January ........ 305.8 hours / 9.9 per day
February ...... 257.2 hours / 9.2 per day

Looks like March is going to continue the running theme of summer which has been sunshine but no storms.

January.........306 hours
February....... 256 hours

Sunshine totals for 2013 so far:

Jan: 44.9hrs (67%)
Feb: 97.2hrs (112%)
Mar: 12.0hrs (82%)

Awful spell of weather coming up with E/SE winds dominating the outlook and previous Marches when these winds have dominated have recorded monthly totals of less than 60 hours - as low as 30 hours in March 1964

That's nothing.

Buxton.

January: 23.8 hours
February: 56.2 hours
March: 17.3 hours

Aberdeen's February had nearly 20 hours more than my Jan+Feb combined.

Jesus christ that would drive me insane.

First 4 days of March here:

48.4 hours / 12.1 per day. The dullest day this month so far is 12 hours
