Among the 1M+ cities, Johannesburg and Nairobi. Ifrane, a VERY pleasant gem, already has mentions but there surely are cooler spots in the Atlas Mountains.

Marrakesh and Cape Town are brilliant climates for me.. lots of sunshine and warmth without horrid cold winters!

For those who hate heat... Walvis Bay would be a much better choice for Africa than Ifrane as summers are much cooler.

Low 80's-Upper 50's is perfect for summer. Has the warmth I want without excessive discomfort.

Today in CNJ, we saw 92 F with 75 % humidity leading to a real feel of 107 F .
