I'd like to see this redone to see who would pick which location if it was back in pioneer times (but with current highs and lows).

In Thompson you can cut firewood.....no A/C existed back then in Texas (would love to have seen a hotter Texas location chosen though).

No one else is interested in just ONE winter in Thompson just to see how extreme cold feels even though they would prefer Midland long-term?

Ok; I admit I NEVER shoveled snow in my life (unless you count off of a car in Lake Tahoe) or experienced colder than 15 F but I'd want the temporary adventure of the extreme cold knowing that I can cross another item off of my bucket list.

I asked Dad when he left Manitoba, and he said "just as soon as I found out where I was".
So why Texas? And he said he'd rather change a starter motor in a Cat. at 105 degrees than -45 in a high wind!

Thompson, its winters are too cold for me, but I want to experience them. I don't want to experience extremely hot temperatures.

Midland no question.. easy for me to enjoy with lots of hydration and mild A/C or a fan at night to sleep. Thompson is completely unbearable for me as I'd have to be indoors for 6 months out of the year. No Thanks.

Midland is hell or what...whereas Thompson, depsite much too cold, is WAY more interesting than Midland, which is not what I can say for such a climate.

Texas easy, but to be honest I don't like those cool summer nights make it 90/75 or 92/77 and it would be perfect

Midland as Manitoba is a bit of a desolate dump.
