Australia is rubbish sorry to tell you the only good thing they have is hot desert weather.
Is it worse than your much hated hellhole of Northern Ireland? Maybe you can fly daddy's plane here just to make sure. Be sure to stop for fuel though, it is a good 20,000km.

Sorry a hellhole? I don't think so. Australia is the true definition of a hell hole. It is a massive dessert covered in sand for thousands and thousands of miles. HOW BORING!
Anywonder the population is only 20million.
And my love I will not ever venture to Australia. Who on earth would fly 11,000 miles to experience a dessert?

It would be valuable experience towards your airline captain's license.
Yet many more people choose to live in Australia over Northern Ireland.. odd.
If Australia's interior wasn't so arid, I bet it'd have people all over the place. Lack of water is the biggest hindrance.
I like Australia's interior. Even though I consider desert to be one of the most useless climates in the world along with tundra and ice cap, the desert has a certain exotic appeal to it. At least to me it does, never been to a desert before, closest I've been to one was a tropical savannah and semi-arid area of Puerto Rico. Their Outback also has that characteristic red sand as well. We don't have that.
Problem with Australia is yes, the lack of rain across most of the country. But they also have a problem that we don't have here: rivers that flow through the deserts all year round due to orographic uplifting. Australia is so flat that the interior doesn't benefit from orographically (is that a word?) fed rivers. Wonder how different Australia would look if the GDR was located about 500 miles further inland instead of on the coast

Try spelling the word correctly. Also try engaging your brain in general.
Don't get at me because English isn't my best subject.
How about geography?
