I live in Rochester, NY this summer is extremely cold , last night it was a low of 57 and this is july? I asked my grandma who has lived here her entire life and she said this is the coldest summer she ever felt here. Every day we have had a high of 70 or 75 and a low in the 50's that's not normal for july What's going on with the weather? Personally I think we are entering a ice age. We have one every 10,000 years and we last had one 10,000 years ago so we are due for one.

It means that both months were warmer than average (and the 1981-2010 is already a warm average) and especially July has been very warmer than average.

1981-2010 statistics cannot be used since the earth stopped getting warmer in 2000 so give me the statistics for 2000-2013. Also I can say clearly that this summer has been the coldest I have ever felt here so I don't know what your talking about.

I don't know if you're a troll so I'm answering again. Rochester has had an integral mean of 21,8° in the years between 2000 and 2012. July 2013 has had an integral mean of around 22,5°, so still warmer than average. I'm very sorry to tell you this truth.

Just look at the weather stats in alot of cities even in the southern states , 10 lower than normal .

I remember looking at the weather stats in South Carolina and Georgia in January , February and March it was showing 10 lower than normal and some days 15 lower than normal. It was cold.

I looked at some of the stats in north , it was showing late summer and cooler summer .

It not just your area . Well there was some very hot days of 110 in the north. That is very hot.

It blows my mind how the weather can fluctuate of some days of a 10 degree drop !!

This cold summer is driving me crazy. Most days have not been getting out of the 70s. Why can't the weather realize it's July?

?? Coldest ever felt? Have you been there only a couple years?

Maybe the last few nighttime temps is not helping the cause?

Check the stats yourself. National Weather Service Climate

While it hasn't been that warm there, it sure wasn't cool by normal standards. But I ask again, how long have you been there?
