It just broke 40 here in DFW. It was in the upper 30s most of the day. I'm sorry to hear that Houston is so darned warm ILNC. It could be worse; the ice storms up in Oklahoma have killed 13 people and over 400,000 people in Oklahoma alone are without power. Many people I know as I'm from there.

We'll drop down to 36 or so tonight, and then tomorrow it's supposed to hit 70. But then, back down again into the 40s and 50s for highs the rest of the week. Texas is such a borderline state when it comes to weather that it is weird. Will Rodgers, an Oklahoma native, said "if you don't like the weather in Oklahoma just wait a few minutes" (or something like that), but in many ways it is more applicable to Texas; at least North Texas.

after a frigid night (it's December and I'm still waking up with runny nose and sneezing and hot chocolate remains a staple...) it's yet another lousy old day.

an October-like 70F/21ºC and the usual cloud at midday.

We're gonna have to ship you down a heater or so cordoroy's. Don't worry -- if my summer had temps only in the lower 70's -- we'd probably freak out too!

Our avg high this past July was 84 -- the coolest ever on record.

well, the first christmas forecasts are in and guess what - they're saying high 60's to 70 and rain Moderator cut: word removed what a surprise

this'll be like the 4th christmas in a row with cold miserable trash

by this time last year, we've already cracked 110.

Hope this cheers you up for the holidays

Christmas is still 15 days out, so those first forecasts are subject to major change. Heck, the GFS (which is the same model your longer range forecasts are generated from) is having a terrible handle on our weather as of late.

Hopefully La Niña softens her grip just a tad for ya.
