30F easily. Hiking is best in winter & fall. And it's great when there's snow on the ground. It's very pleasant when you're appropriately dressed. 30C is always unpleasant to some degree, especially when it's humid. I will have to wait until October at the earliest to enjoy another long hike in the woods in chilly weather. I can't wait for winter. I hope to do even more snow hiking, and I'll certainly drive to where there's snow on the ground to do so.
Neither one is really that uncomfortable for me. One is just a little too warm, and the other is just a little too cold. But neither is bad enough to prevent me from going outside. If it's 30 C I can take periodic breaks and if it's 30 F I can just bundle up.
I'd agree that both are manageable and that it depends on humidity and wind as well. 30ºC with relatively high humidity would be awful and 30ºF with wind would require even better gear than previously mentioned so all in all 30ºF is easier. If your exerting yourself then you are generating body warmth so 30ºF wouldn't feel so bad as where 30ºC would be tough and throw in humidity then you'd be truly struggling... I agree that hiking is way easier in the fall/winter than in the summer generally speaking...

30C easily. My hands are dying when it's below 10C.
