17 F in December of 1990 but I was too WAY young (just before I turned 2) to remember it. Highs were in the mid 30s F during that cold spell of Christmas of 1990. My parents have pictures of the lake behind our house covered with ice, something I have never seen in my memory.

-29 F/-34 C in 1994

Sadly I was too young at the time to "experience" it.

-50 C (-58 F) in 1893.
In 2004, we got fairly close to that: -47 C

-21.6°C (-7°F) in February 1929

Coldest i experieced here in my lifetime was the official -17.2°C (1°F) in January 1987 (was nearly seven years old at that time). Our official weather station is located near the shore though, so here a few kilometers away it was most probably even a bit colder maybe about -19°C (-2°F) that morning.
