No dew point below 73°F in LA. Now that's summer weather. Dew point of 64°F here right now, rather high for our standards. Supercell right now over NW Burgundy, about 150 km from here.

Indeed nothing beats first hand experience. Also the building in the middle doesn't help. My former vantage point was better.

The storm from that video was about 15 miles away. Not sure how much cloud-to-ground activity there was.
This is one of my favorite nighttime lightning videos
Some big thunderstorms in the Midlands today, including a possible supercell storm going through Lincolnshire (and now into the North Sea).
I show a screengrab of the radar, you can clearly see a comma shape to the storm's echo indicating rotation, and possible a hail core right near the dry slot in "hook echo".

Ah, so you are a fan of serious humidity also?

No big surprise. Usually the high will be reached by 12 or 1 anyway.
The heat is on in Daytona Beach right now. 92F and the heat index of 99. Second day in a row hitting 92 I believe (average high for the month is 88). Plus a 60% chance of thunderstorms this afternoon. I can't wait to be there.

Yes, apparently that storm dropped 4cm hailstones and caused flash flooding, with continuous lightning.
