It is subtropical. Average highs above 40 F in winter and above 85 F in summer = Subtropical.
Chicago has an average high of 30 F in January, making it continental. NYC is at 38 F, still continental. Philly is at 40 F, borderline subtropical. We are at 36 F, still continental.
For Summer, chicago is at 82 F, NYC is at 84 F, subtropical, We are at 87 F, Philly is at 86 F.

No one here in the US considers these cities subtropical, only usually the coldest loving CD residents. They consider 70F sweltering.

Well quite a few of the US posters on here do claim such climates as being sub-tropical... NYC, DC & now Baltimore...
