Not Oxford though. Oxford has a higher crime rate than Manchester.

The place with the least amount of chavs is more than likely some random, rural village where only old people live.
It depends if you look at stats by local authority or by Parliamentary constituency. For example Westminster LA has 30% of children in poverty, but PC has 20%...

Oxford has LA 25% & PC 27% (East) & just 12% (West)

Manchester LA has 38% & PC 47%

Not that being classed as living in 'poverty' makes one a chav, but the other cities I mentioned have the following stats:

Winchester LA 11% PC 10%

Cambridge LA 17% PC 18%

Leeds is LA 20% & PC 38%

Leeds Central has 38% of children in poverty. Leeds North West has 10% IIRC. And Pudsey has 9%.

Hard to believe that Leeds has less children in poverty than Oxford in % terms. Oxford - the city of dreaming spires. Yeah, right.

Sounds like the British version of Long Island. Is it also parochial, and full of people with the city accent even though they've left the city? Have they nearly eliminated poverty by preventing housing for poor people from being built?

T-Mobile is the only one of those that's here, not one of the bigger ones. British Telecom isn't around anymore?
