The low is 15C/59F (even Miami would love a 59F low in December), the high was 66 today, not cold by any means. That's pretty mild and milder than here in Austin (48 degrees and overcast was the high today, brrr). Tomorrow will be 73/59 and rainy in LA and then sunny and 70-75 the next 5 days and up to 84 next Tuesday. Most people would love that kind of weather in December.
Even when it rains it's still pretty decent in LA.
True, but the chilly sea breeze is often intensified during these rains, and that makes it feel ever cooler than it already is.
In any case, I'm really glad they're getting rain. Hopefully a lot more to come and green things up there!
^^You may not like it; I didn't like it either. But I realized it was necessary to clear the air of smog, help end the drought, and help to prevent wildfires and make things lush and green.

Yes, the smog (and earthquake) because of the dry weather is one of the worst thing in Los Angeles.

I don't think dry weather causes earthquakes, but what do I know? I live in Colorado, not Cali. However, I've been watching the news of California's greatly needed rain in the hope that this is an El Nino incident that will help us in drought stricken SW Colorado, as well. As a matter of fact, we're getting rain here tonight, too. Finally! Yay California! Yay SW Colorado!
PS It's pretty wussy to get all bummed out by a temperature of 59 and a rainy day or two in LA. The horror of it all! I suppose the next thing we hear on CNN is the news of all the mass suicides in LA, since life there has become unbearable. You poor thing.
I'm not ignorant, it´s just that I don´t like this kind of weather.
Oh poor thing, it's better so that a region that isn't a total desert like the Sahara gets no rain at all. Heck, it would be a good thing if it didn't rain at all anywhere on the Earth, just so you can get 24/7 sunshine 365 days a year

I said earthquake and smog (smog is causes by dry weather) are the two bad thing of LA, not dry weather causes earthquake...
I find it fascinating how they receive heavy rain, hail and gale winds in winter, but not in summer. I know CA is Mediterranean, but it's just weird.

If you like humidity and oppressiveness.
Though it has rained here (brief shower) with temps around 30C and a relatively low humidity (40-50RH?), it did feel pleasant.
However, rain at 99RH% with temps over 24C is incredibly uncomfortable.
