It still sucks. Put it at 15K and then we might be getting somewhere...

Why would it have less rain? It's quite simple really. Prevailing easterly winds coming off the ocean brings in warm humid air. When the air mass reaches whatever mountain range Miami is on, it cools and precipitates. 100" would be a low estimate.

your right i didn't think that far into it. winds aren't always from the ocean though. and i don't think there is any location in Cuba with 100".

another thing wouldn't these mountains block cold air from canada (assuming they are taller in the northwest)? so no 9°F?

Winters too cool. A bit too wet.

Due to its altitude, it will be much more rainier than 1,200. Precipitation will probably reach 3,000mm at best.

Ridiculous as in bad? Or ridiculous as in not possible? Assuming there are no larger mountain ranges to the north blocking colder air masses the record low of 9F seems perfectly possible considering that the present day Miami is at sea level and has a record low of 27F

Better than the original Miami, but I'm not fond of subtropical highland climates. Good sunshine hours for a climate of this type though.

C- is my grade.
