^ I second that.

Easterly winds are literally the worst things ever. Kill convection in the summer and brings stupid warm and humid nights in winter.

Lol, that may indeed be a serious concern after reading page 489: Summer 2016 (Northern Hemisphere)

Quite below average again today. Rainy and high of 88F. Haven't been above 90 since the 13th.

Monthly rain total up to 5.5" at Camp Mabry, and 5.1" at the airport.

82/66 yesterday, the 29th straight above average day. Today and tomorrow will be above average and Sunday will be close. A cold front will come on Monday with below average temperatures. Streak will reach 31-32 days. Also, all 18 days of August have had 80 degree highs.

Where would I find records for things like most consecutive above average days?

I read parts of this thread a bit late in the game....but in regards to dew polints and record values.... NWS offices do not have access for most of those types of record databases. Through xmACIS we have temp, precip and temps but that is it. Now regional climate centers that serve the nation would be a better resource and they may have them. If not, one would have to go to the NCDC to look at ASOS/AWOS databases. Cooperative observers do not record dew points, just max/min temps and precip.

So in defense of dew point records....they are not easy to come by and obtain.

We have no such data on hand at our NWS office in Grand Forks...

It has been a terribly wet summer in much of the northern Plains as well, esp areas along the Canadian border and in southern Manitoba with some areas have had 20-25 inches of rain since April 1st. Wheat harvest is in progress and very wet soils in parts of NE ND, NW MN and S Manitoba.

Looking forward to our cool down as we have highs in the 60s Saturday and lows in the 40s.
